Ive noticed that steering columns have been labeled as power steering, and non power steering. Whats the differance? Shouldnt the differance be in the steering box? Is a 4 speed column the same as an automatic on the floor? I dont want to buy something that wont work for my car, and Im sure there are plenty of others wondering the same thing.

power steering has a shorter shaft as the box is longer. 4spd and auto on the floor would be the same for the same year or in some cases a few years of the same body type

Thank you for the info. That will open my options. What about automatic on the floor, and 4 speed?
