What's the one car youd sell your house to own?

If I had to sell my home for any vehicle, how about something like this; I think I'd want a toilet. I'm not dropping a deuce in the back seat of a rare Hemi or on the side of the road.

If I could find my dad's 'Cuda he had back in the early '70s, I might consider selling the house to buy it.
Wait...I just heard my wife talking. Nope, that ain't happening

I was taught the mortgage payment is the most important of all financial obligations.
Not until after we were finished raising the kids could we justify spending the money on the car I wished for since I was a kid.
Plus a few others as well, since.
And all for less than the cost of some of the new 2500HD's I had my eyes on at the time

My '69 Roadrunner was the car I always wished for, but never thought I could afford. Got a great deal on it IMO.

Ever since dad and I restored an FC7, 1970 Duster back in the early 90's, I always wanted one like it. Very happy I found one.

Dad impressed on me the love for Tri-Five Chevy's. He owned a '56 & a '57 in his lifetime.
I felt I completed the circle by purchasing this '55 after he passed.
I'm the 3rd owner, never been restored, one repaint back in early 90's, 45k miles.

And mama wanted hers too...

I started buying cars after my house was paid off so I guess I'm doing it wrong. I could probably sell my cars and buy my dream car but that's not my style. I've limited myself to one wife, but like to spread the love around in the automotive world.
I like your approach. I really liked having one wife, and two ‘68 GTXs, a 440 from back in the day, and a numbers matching Hemi. But as the curtain has started coming down with age, I decided one wife and one GTX was better, and I’ve been happy with the choice.

I'll get there my friend. My wife will retire in about 2 1/2 years and we're already talking about our next moves. Whatever it is, it will involve downsizing our home and possessions. And probably moving from Washington state. It's getting mighty oppressive here.

I have thought about selling all my cars and buying an investment house. The real estate in Colorado knows no bounds. $235k in 2000 is $800k now.

How about we rephrase?
What car would you buy that costs about what your house is worth..... if you had the money?
For me?.... nothing.
But when I sell one of my Cali houses, I'm looking for a Trackhawk. Fast and practical.

Same issue in Florida.
Even if I sold my house at today's value which is 10 times what I paid for it 30 years ago I couldn't replace it with anything close to what I already have now.

I have made the statement that I would have to sell my house and live in it,when seeing the prices some people are asking for these cars! I remember seeing a 66 Charger that was a camper too, that might actually work! That said a Hemi Charger Daytona 4 speed car would probably be the only one. I will be happier with my Daytona clone and a place to rest my head at the end of the day!

Yes: If I still lusted a Daytona, building one that you can drive is the way to go. I know if you can afford a $3million dollar car you can also afford to insure it and fix a dent or a scratch from driving it but nobody does that. By saying drive, I really mean DRIVE!

I had rounded up the parts to build two Daytona clones, but decided to sell off one of the kits and only build one. It wasn't really a kit,I had rounded up the best parts from several vendors to make a complete conversion kit. My friend traded me a 71 Charger R/T from Arizona for the kit. He is building the car now.
