Is it unused since the machine work?

Tough to value those things anymore. Folks aren't just snatching up every one they can find and buyers are usually people who need one... and they're getting fewer and fewer. I think RC is right.

440 steel cranks are going for $100. around here, so I think RC is pretty close on the value of one for a 383.

383's or the cranks aren't really rare, it'd be a score for someone who needs it,
already done & cheap, I mean really cheap... like less than $50
IMO the machining cost, probably more than the value...
you can buy a whole 383 with a steel crank & a bunch of great parts
sometimes for the cost of just a crankshaft, someone's trying to unload...

good luck

I just had a chance to get two awesome forged 440 cranks for $50 each and was going to snag them, but then I started looking around for a value and got lots of "Oh man, they're worth $200 easy!", and then I would ask if they want one for $200 and it's "Oh man, I wish I could, but...". I'm sure if I had bought them, they would still be in my garage taking up space until I could find the next biggest sucker to give me $50 for them. :)

Just not many folks who "just gotta have" these parts these days.
