What's up with 66/67 Clocks

I got lucky. After filing the points and cleaning/oiling the works, I hooked it up to the battery and it started right up and ran smoothly for a half hour until I disconnected it. Won’t need that quartz movement for now.

Yup, was going to mention filing the points. Most have no idea about how they work. Heck, used to wonder where that 'pop' sound was all about when I had my first 66 Belvedere lol. Could hear it pretty easily making out in the back seat if the radio wasn't on Also, where the clock mounts, that area has a slight downward slant and then your head is probably 40* up front it.

Kind of a simple stupid machine, if you will.

Basically a manual wind that is triggered automatically and applied by 12v power.
