Hey guys

Had a question about wheel wells. Currently restoring my 1968 Dodge Charger. Managed to remove all of that rubbery stuff and down to bear metal and to finally repaint.

Question is the following.

Does anyone know of a product that is an alternative to using rubberized undercoating in the wheel wells. I want to have body shine finish but I know that driving will definitely distroy the paint over time and it will chip. I am not trying to build a showcar but i want it to look nice and I don't want to hide anything. Cause I know a lot of folks out there will hide **** and I am not like that.

I was thinking of the following and wanted to know if anyone had the same issue.

Option 1 - Spray on Cerramic Clear
Option 2 - Inner Wheel housing Plastic but dont know what could fit from what other car with minor adjustments.
Option 3 - 3M clear Protector like they use on hoods
Option 4 - Crappy rubber undercoating

If anyone has any ideas as to what I should go with please let me know. If there is some new product out there please share.

Thanks man

So will I have and keep a clear finish?
You can buy it in a flat or gloss black. It holds up to gas, oil, acetone, etc. If you use it, put on rubber gloves before you even look at the can. It dont come off your skin. It wears off. And once opened if any gets on the can rim, and you put the lid back on, you will destroy the can trying to reopen it. I poked two holes in the lid, & resealed with foil tape.

Lots of folks use truck bedliner. Some brands are quite presentable.
