I am curious as to what width wheels and offset folks with mini tubbed cars are running. I have a stock width axle housing. I was thinking an 11 with a 5.5 offset or a 12 with a 6 inch offset. Anyone have examples of that they run?

Are your springs moved inboard too?
How much wider are the tubs from stock?
Example,, Stock spring location, stock wheel house, 15x7'' wheel with a 4 1/4 backspace gives you a negative offset of 2 3/4 '' with a 275/60/15 tire you have about 3/4 to 1'' clearance from tire to outer wheel house clearance and about and about 2'' from tire to spring.
All cars are different do to tolarances in manufacturing so a + or - factor applies.
A stock width housing with a 12'' wheel with a 6'' back space will give you a 6''negative offset to the outside and doubt it would clear the outer wheel house.
All of this is with springs, coil overs, can give you more positive offset to the centerline of the car.
You can make a cardboard templet "T" and measure from the axle face, with springs under load to see how much wheel house/spring measurement you actually have. Do both sides do to the + or - factor.
I forgot to say the example was for a 64 "B" body. Different years will varry.

The '65 is minitubbed with relocated springs. It has 315/60/15 M/T drag radials on 10" torq-thrusts. Don't recall the offset of the wheel. The dana was cut to fit.
Tried a buddy's 31x16.5-15 M/Ts on 12" wheels. Looked great. Snug fit but fit. Stayed with what I had rather than buying all new again.
