wheels and tire size for 65 coronet

what is widest tires and wheels i can run front and back so i can rotate them and not have any clearance issues. i want a good riding highway car... i figured you fellas in the touring section would know ...thanks

My car had 265/50-15's on it when I bought it, 15X8 wheel btw, and am swinging 235/60-15 on front with 275/60-15 on the rear with the same 15X8 Welds 4" backspace. When the 265's were on, there was still room to go way bigger on the front. My avitar picture is when it had the 265's on it. I'm going to do the US Cartool mini tub and spring relocation. This should allow me to get 335 or bigger on the rear. On the front I think I can get 275 at least and maybe 295's on. Will be mounting up my Percy's Wheelrite to make sure.

I have 275/60/15s on the back of mine. That's probably about as big as I can go on mine. Not sure how they would fit on the front. Let us know what you end up doing. I'm curious to see what same size tires will look like.
