When Is Your First Day To Mow The Lawn?

Here on the east coast of Canada, my mowing season is usually from mid May to mid September

Here in missouri it's about time to. Its so wet I would do more harm than good. I have started garden and yard work.

I've been working on mine almost every evening for the past 2 weeks...WTH happened with all of the moss all of the sudden???
My damn yard is too rough and way to hilly to try to use a thatching blade on the mower so everything has been by hand and a rake...
That crap is brutal to did out by hand...Then ran into some crab grass mixed in along with the typical weeds...
So far there's been 11 wheelbarrow loads of moss...weeds...some leaves and just crap that I've raked up out of yard...and it's not done yet...
Removed a few weeds and installed new mulch in the Storm water management pond for the garage...
Ended up with a full pick-up load of dead-fall laying in the yard after all the wind and ice this winter...just trimmed a couple tree's yesterday so I have another pile to get rid of now...
Still moving big stones and creating mulch beds around the base of a couple tree's...
Managed to get the gutters and eve's along with the windows washed over the w/e...
Next w/e will be pressure washing all of the walls...the decks and sidewalks if the temperature holds out...Then once all the wood dries back out everything will need stained...
I bought a new battery for the car back in October so luckily it started and is running fine with no issues or work needing done to it...
Mowed everything using the bag about a month ago...More or less using it us a vacuum cleaner for all the crap on the grass...I'm creeping up on it being time to mow for real...
I'm thinking I really screwed up not putting something down for the weeds back in the fall...
I ended up spreading some lime on it about 10 days ago...
Now with the bare spots I need to get seed down or I won't be able to put any weed and feed on for about 2 more months...
I just wish it looked like the pics below its own rather than a couple hundred hours of work every year...

I have to get my deck rebuilt on my commercial Toro Z Master 60" cut. I've been at it all day today, and will button it up tomorrow. All new bearings on the spindles, new blades, clean and scrape the deck, oil change, air the tires up equally, grease everything.

I'll be ready to mow when it starts, it's greening up but isn't really growing just yet.

‘Bout time to carry battery out to shed for the Simplicity(it was prepped totally last fall( because no Bee in garage)) . Oh, rt rear qtr,tail light holes,rear of trunk lid, still need done.

At least it's done snowing. Now it's sleeting? With a small rumble of thunder. Just what puts a B-body to sleep!

I actually feel thankful to live in Ohio after seeing some of these pictures!! It's been beautiful all week and the grass is showing it's appreciation, looks like I'll be mowing this weekend. It would be agonizing but it's a sign that my trees will soon be green again and for that I cannot wait!

This looks to possibly miss the Ohio Valley. Usually we get Denver's stuff. Then you get Minneapolis stuff. But this is trucking northwest. So enjoy. Someone has too?
