When Is Your First Day To Mow The Lawn?

Mowed the yard last Friday, 22 March. It went green and growing literally overnight. Hello, allergies!

Still brown here on top of the mountain, but some green splotches popping up along with some maple tree buds.

Once the salt is all washed off the roads I can move the Charger out and get to the mower, and do its spring service....

Mowed about 2 weeks ago and need to again. Vac fuel pump on my garden tractor seems to have bit the dust thou and haven't had time to mess with it lately.
Is it blowing blue smoke? :poke::rofl::rofl:

It never stops here in the desert. Every other weekend year round.

The wife cut it for the first time yesterday. As soon as she saw me uncover her riding lawnmower, she moved in and took over and cut 3 lawns. I know all I have to do is touch her mower and she's out there. I can drive my cars but not her riding mower. I finally got a riding mower of my own but I'm sure she'll use it also.

Usually, April 15th. Still waiting.

Last Friday and Saturday. I'm not looking forward to another season of grass cutting. It makes me think of my physical mortality, knowing those who came before me who did this, and it still must be done, and when I'm gone, someone else will have to do it.

I WOULD cut the lawn, but it needs to dry out from the latest atmospheric river. Too many puddles and soft soggy spots, I'd get stuck right away.

But the daffodils are blooming nicely for the past week!

Yeah, in my clay heavy swamp, I have to time my grass cutting to sync with the end of the brutal heat, but before the typical summer thunderstorms, after the humidity dries, before the 90+°heat and 98% humidity settles in.
You can tell how much I enjoy it.

I spent a couple weeks in Monroe La in August of 2016... Brutal.... The brown water coming out of the faucets didn't exactly make me feel clean after taking a shower either....

This past Sunday. I started watering a few weeks ago.

And here I thought a guy with so much hair would like to be out in the open with it blowing in the breeze... LOL
