When was the Super Bee first sold?

When did the Super Bee become available for sale for the 1968 sale season? I think I once heard it was not sold right from the beginning. I have three dealer sales brochures for 1968, for the Dodge lineup, for the Coronet, and for the Scat Pack - Charger RT, Coronet RT , Dart GTS. Wasn't the Super Bee part of the Scat Pack? None of them even mention the Bee.

I believe that's right, the Super Bee didn't hit the lots until late winter or early spring of '68.

February of 1968. It was a mid-year response to Dodge dealers raising hell.
The Road Runner had taken off upon its' introduction in the fall of '67 and the Dodge
dealers wanted their own version to put out there to capitalize on things.

That is the exact story that I heard, except I wasn't sure about timing.
