When were the 1967 GTX models first produced?

This is good to know..... My '67 LA 318 was built 9-8-66 so it has to be one of the first ones ever made does any one know when the first one was made or how to tell?

6 is June, 07 it is the seventh. if it was 629, it would be the 29th day of the month. The stamp on the pad prior to the 607 date is best, but much more than 30 days and it likely was a replacement. So, if you have a 201,(feb 1st) for example, then it didn't come original to the 607 car. Block castings can be a year ahead easily. I have a Jan 66 casting date in my 67' Chrysler, built apr 16th of 67'. The engine stamp is april 10th, six days earlier. On the positive side any 67 GTX with the correct year HP is a treasure, regardless if the date is off.
