Those sure look like bare metal valve covers, NOT the chromed ones. There is NO mention of them being chromed in the ad, anyway. Either that, or the examples pictured in their catalog online have the worst chrome job ever!

Did they ever get the problems with them fixed? I'd take a driver quality set of originals over the reproduction stuff any day, if anything, for durability. Has anyone put a chrome set through the test?
