Cool collection, the guy loved Packards and old Dodge trucks

Well, the wife went out with the girls for the day, lunch, and shopping. I took my girl out for a short run. The streets are clean enough in my development to go get the mail and get stopped three times going there by my neighbors. LOL. I drive at an idle through our development, people stop me not because I'm a nuisance, they love the trip back a car like this can bring, all ages. It's fun to watch people staring at it, while dragging up old memories. If they want a ride, get in, all comers are welcome.

I wish my street was that clean. Because we were getting a slight dusting of snow overnight, they salted the crap out of the roads again.

Mark,
This is the most snow we've had in years. I haven't driven it in about 4 weeks, the longest it's ever just sat. Many moons ago I remember being in a t shirt in December working on a sea wall at my lake house. The next year we got 22 inches of snow in the same month. Our roads are clean, it got in the fifties and the water washed them, now they're wet. I don't do water.

We had 4” of snow a week and a half ago & once the roads cleared up a bit, I brought my truck to the local car wash. When I got home, I parked it out in the driveway to drip dry and this is what was left after the driveway dried up. This is why New England cars don’t last.

That's crazy and nasty! There's no doubt they use salt down here and I've had stains like that around the tires of my durango in the garage. That stuff will destroy anything including concrete. This is the first house I've had that I didn't paint the garage walls or seal the floors. I have a membership to the car wash that I use at will. A clean car, inside and out is a must for me, but it's the bottom blaster and the tire shine that I really go for. My hope is to get that off before I bring it home. Sometimes I only use the wash once a month, sometimes twice in one day.

The salt residue was eating the concrete where I parked our daily driver in the garage. I bought a large parking mat at TSC with a raised circumference to contain the slop, and protect my floor. As the water evaporates (heated floor), flakes of salt are left. I occasionally drag the mat outside and power wash it off.

Dave,
The older I get, the less I worry about things. LOL. I spent my whole life with stomach ulcers. Fortunately major storms aren't our biggest problem. It's actually not a bad place to live. Till here lately, it was a cheap state to live in. Now, you can run, but you can't hide. I think this spring I'll check into haveing my driveway, garage, sidewalks and front porch apoxied.
