I purchased a pair of OER sport mirrors for my 71 Charger.
They look great but the passenger side mirror is kinda useless.
The glass is not the convex type (ones that usually say objects in mirror are closer than they appear)
It's regular mirror glass so it's pretty much impossible to see much in it.

I see a lot of replacement glass but I can't seem to find any that will fit the sport mirrors.

Anyone found a solution to this?
thanks.

Any chance a glass shop could cut one to fit?

I bought a generic convex mirror and simply trimmed it down to fit the original mirror and siliconed it over. The mirror I found was not a perfect fit, so after trimming the two sides, there were very small portions at the top and bottom of the mirror that weren’t covered. But that didn’t really matter and it’s hardly noticeable.

I used a Dremel and pair of pliers to do the trimming. Make small cuts and snap off pieces until you get a rough shape. Then, sand down the edges to the correct circular shape. It was pretty easy and only cost like $4.

Can't recall if it is 4 1/4" or 4 3/4" size (you'd have to measure yours) but this place called Hagan's made replacement (or just glue over) convex mirror glass that worked for some members here in other threads on the subject.

I would definitely call and ask if they have stock as the website does not say.

Update: mine is 4 1/4 (4.25) round.

I also found that the right hand replacement manual mirror glass for a '76-'80 Dodge Aspen is a 4 1/4 round convex, so that may also help.

Thanks for the link guys!
The only issue is my mirror isn't round, it's oval.
I think I may stop by a local glass shop today and see if they can cut something that will work.

It only has one at 4-1/2 x1-3/4 which isn't tall enough
