Anyone know if these are still being reproduced? I broke 2 studs off. I may try pressing them out and replacing as I searched and came up empty.
That's the plan - unless they were easily available / reproduced. Just thought I'd check. Can easily be rebuilt with flat top bolts mig welded in place
Did they press out easily or need to grind off the head?
I don't remember what I did yesterday, let alone 6 years ago. LOL. Think I cleaned the heads off with a thin cut wheel in the 4.5 angle grinder.Did they press out easily or need to grind off the head?
I get that! Just figured I'd ask in case it was recent (today).I don't remember what I did yesterday, let alone 6 years ago. LOL. Think I cleaned the heads off with a thin cut wheel in the 4.5 angle grinder.
Just grind off the heads and drive the studs out. Weld the new ones in. Take it to a welding shop or a friend with the tools if you can't do it yourself. You could use a hex head bolt, a carriage bolt, a stud, or Ready Rod as long as it's welded on to secure it. You can grind down the head and weld if needed.I get that!
