Where to start? Massive oil leak.

Good deal - glad there was no damage.

Thanks. Lesson learned, I will be checking mine every time I change it out.

I love happy endings. Good deal. This is why I change oil on everything I own myself. I put a flashlight beam on the 440, and examine the old filter closely. Lube the lip of the new filter, gently snug the plug, fill the new filter at least half way if possible to reduce first start filling of filter.

glad to hear it was nothing major and a easy fix

Good deal! Glad it was a simple fix, hoping no damage to the motor.

I'd like to ditto this, excellent points. Probably the first thing I learned a billion years ago doing my first oil change, pour oil inside the filter & coat the seal.
