That's kinda like asking which is better, big or small block. What kind of use will it have? Street only, strip only or street/strip? Both brands have had their ups and downs over the years but you can search the net for both and do what you're doing here for info but have heard that CenterForce has been experiencing weak customer support like many companies in the last couple of years.

I heard center force is better 4 street driving, heard the zoom clutch is very stiff and gets very old very fast on the street, unless u want your left leg to look like popeyes forearms.

Hays was a big name in the 70's. What's listed here are the standard Borg and Beck pressure plates with beefier springs and probably a few other mods. One thing that can go wrong with these is the adjuster nuts that hold the fingers can move. This will cause the fingers to be at different heights when everything is bolted up and the end result is clutch chatter from uneven engagement.

I dusted off my old McLeod I ran 25 yrs ago and sent it back to them for rework. It's also a Borg and Beck style and I'll probably tack weld the adjuster nuts to the cover when it comes back!

I just d/n mention hays but they are also really nice street/strip clutches and I think they are still cheaper than zoom.

Always wondered what the correct pronunciation of McLeod is. That's what I have now. It's a dual something. I've been abusing it and it seems to be durable with a nice street feel and moderate pressure to push in.

I know Center Force is the recommended replacement clutch over stock in the Vipers trucks.

Kind of like ma and cloud together. I'm sure if you tried it drunk with a Scottish accent it would make more sense :icon_pidu:

Yup....macloud lol. Kinda like Weiand. So many call it Wee in....but it's Why And.

McLeod makes a good clutch. So does Centerforce. But if you have an 18 spline Centerforce only offers a "dual friction" disc which (in my humble opinion) is a bit to "grabby" for a street driven car. Kinda like an on/off switch. I ran a Centerforce plate with a Hays disc in my six pack Challenger. Worked well. Ran 12.80@110+.

Haha thanks for the input guys, I actually went with a McLeod with the standard Borg and Beck style. It feels "grabby" but that will go away once I break the clutch.
