I'm thinking of buying an engine compression tester. Which one? Don't need something high end, I'm not an engine builder. Also, can you get these in combination with a leak down tester?

Forget the compression tester and get the leak down. Then you can tell if it's rings, intake or exhaust.

I don't know of any combination tester. The psi ranges are different. I think they are both viable. A compression tester is dynamic and a leak down tester is static. The FSM gives you a spec for compression testing. A leak down tester, as stated above, can tell you where the loss is but the compression tester tells you if you are in spec.
