As stated.. which oone to go with.. the cost is about half for Mopar vs Hotchkis... leafs, shackles, torsion bars.. looks like the only one to make control arms is hotchkis?

70 B-body 440/727

Hotchkis for sure...There are other companys that make a arms..
Petty Blue 67 gTx

depends - is this a weekend cruiser or for autox?

weekend cruiser but I drive autox when I drive...LOL.. the 1.030 Hotchkis torsion bar good ?

So here is the question now...

The hotchkis leafs are lowering leafs.... I dont want the car sitting low, I lready have on of those that is a pia to drive sometimes and cant handle a speed bump without scraping the headers....

Do I use the orginal mopar leafs or get the adjustable shackles to raise it up a bit while using the hotchkis leafs ? or do they make and Hd leaf that does the job using the regular shakles? but will it be to stiff ?
Not sure what to do here, the car needs leafs bad though the originals are almost reverse curved

bought a set of mopar leafs from jegs and am very pleased. bought the leaf spring mount and shackles from firm feel. the mounts allow you to drop an inch if you want. i think hotchkis leafs might save a couple lbs but if you are mainly doing around town driving, not worth the $ IMO.

as far as A-arms go, there are a few manufacturers - look around. RMS, magnum force, hotchkis to name a few. some good and some bad reviews are out there so do homework.

if you are worried about performance at autocross, you'd probably be better spending your money on tires and brakes.

well I guess I was misleading... not real autocross.. just me and agressive driving...
the stance of the car is important though as well..

I need new torsion bars for sure though too as it has the small block bars and the 440 is not a small block.. the car is squirley with them being tightened up to raise the front end but it doesnt feel right in the corners at all.. so I was looking at the 1.030 bar from Hotchkis for this....
