I purchased Mancini's front suspension tool kit that is supposed to contain all the tools I need to tear down and rebuild the front suspension of my car. I have removed the K frame from my Barracuda and completely stripped it. I was told by a buddy that I will need to take the lower control arms to a machine shop to have the pivot shafts pressed out. According to the add in Mancini's paper, I have that tool. The kit came with no instructions as to what tool goes to what. I have contacted Mancini but am still awaiting a reply (sometimes they don't). Does anyone know which of the tools in that kit does the job and how it is done? Thanks in advance. As soon as I have my K frame media blasted, and the lower controls arms, I begin the rebuild including switching to disc brakes. Have never done this before but I am having fun.

not sure on the tool but,you press the bushing onto the shaft, then press the assembly into the arm.we did it here with sockets and such in our press,no special tools used.

The only store bought front end tool I have is a ball joint socket....all the rest are homemade and none of them look like the ones on that site nor do I have that many.

I bought a 1 1/4 galvanized pipe from Lowes to press the LCA bushing into the LCA. It fit over the Pivot Shaft and matched the diameter of the bushing. It was a little longer than the pivot shaft, but I was able to get it in my shop press so I didn't bother to cut it down.
