I know a lot of kids did but I wasn't one of them....didn't even the like the way it felt or smelled.
By the time the stuff came out to the market as a toy I was old enough to know better not to eat stupid stuff and we didn't live in a house that was heated by coal so there was no reason to use the old product for cleaning....the real question is........ "did you eat it?"

Kind of figured that but thought I would reply to it anywaysI didn't mean you in particular![]()
Well I knew how to shift a 3-speed transmission when I was five and there was no Play-Doh involved lolwhat a child does with play dough is a good indicator of intelligence.
The kids had the greatest impact withBy the time the stuff came out to the market as a toy I was old enough to know better not to eat stupid stuff and we didn't live in a house that was heated by coal so there was no reason to use the old product for cleaning....
You actually 'et some ?It tasted bad.......

No. Tasted it. YUCK. Did not actually eat it. I survived. You actually 'et some ?
You wanted a sandbox in your house?Nope. Mom didn't allow any toys that might lead to a mess in the house - Play Doh, finger paints, or even a sandbox.
I lived in a town of 40k when I was a kid but the school I went to had 5 grades and 5 rooms.....The kids had the greatest impact with
my play-dough interaction. Scraping
the stuff off the walls and ceilings.
Once I showed them how to soften the
stuff when it got a little dry, that little
devil on their shoulder told them where
to throw it.
Their interaction with play-dough
ceased soon after.
P.S.
I once lived in a house with a coal
fired furnace, and my first 2 years in
school were in a one-room school
house.
They were out there.....was one of them but play-doh wasn't one of the weird things to play with. When I was at primary school, the teachers made their own version of play-doh. It was horrible, and they added salt to prevent the kids eating it.
One kid in my class used to shove the stuff up his nose.....weird kid.
Figured it did just by the way it stank. It tasted bad.......

Sounds more like OCD. My sister does the same thing. Dang house is more like a model home with everything in it being perfect and constantly making sure it stays that way....and she's no introvert. No such thing when I was a kid. And I have a mother like "copper67sat" - a complete introvert who still cleans her house top to bottom every day at the age of 90 !!
