I've been holding out until I found the pictures.. this is the early 90s, my buddy bent up a scoop in high school sheet metal. For his 72 cutlass s 350 rocket, that his grandma bought new (50,000 mi mint). As you can see it needed both new fenders etc, had the rear quarter lips ground off for the big cragars, welded diff, jacker uppers in the coils. This was during his first summer with it.
I got to see guys wreck cars first hand. For reference that's my big red in the background which is still mint.

It wasn't what I would consider a "big" scoop, but I did have this on my Tina.
My,buddies car, that he built in my garage, had what I consider a big scoop. (B1 original stroker.)
