Who here remembers all these NEHOA people?

Starting around 1987-88, Chandler bought up all the Hemi convertibles that he could find & I'd say that he was responsible for initiating the desirability of Hemi cars.
Desirability amongst the spoiled kids with too much money?? I would think you guys had established they were desirable by starting the Hemi club

Don't think so but i know the name.
Back then if I was working 4 days on 4 off, being low man on totumpole I work many holiday weekends. If schedule worked out might get one meet a year.
He owned a '70 Challenger T/A, a seriously nice one. Came from your neck of the woods.
Great guy. As we get old photos scanned and put on the cloud, you'll see it often on photos of meets.

Ok, back to the original question:
Consensus of those who would know (and RC, too!) is that this was taken in Bensalem, PA at the NeHOA meet,
9/2 thru 9/5 1983.
Almost 42 years ago, I looked like that fella kneeling at the far right bottom - in flip flops.
Add 50 pounds as a result of thyroid cancer/removal (plus the other dozen times shiyat tried to kill me) and you got
me today. Well, maybe a bit less hair...

I'd like to know how many current and former NeHOA members we have here on FBBO?

Here is the link where my friend Tom K and myself (I move slower, don't have a fancy auto-feed scanner) are posting
up groups of pics we have by NeHOA meet. Please have a look and if you can identify either the location or the date,
we'd really appreciate it!

More pics are posted on both Toms' and my own folders at that link now.
Many more to come and we've already had one group of pics identified as coming from the Butler, PA
meet in 1987. Progress!
Anyone else have a clue? Some of these groups of pics we're posting almost certainly are NOT NeHOA
meets, but others like the old Nats or even Englishtown events.
@guy gadbois

There was a Hemi owners club out here, not sure now what the name was
I think it was from
IIRC Maybe East Bay, Danville or Alamo area, off 680frw, it's an upper class areas
many people out of Lafeyette, Orinda, Oakland/Berkelely (?)/Montclair areas
I new the Pres. at one time, he didn't do it long, Roland M.,
he (& his wife Sue, both were Jetcar jokeys) lived in Concord,
his house/pool/shop was known as 'Club Merm' to all of us, party central
he had several real Hemi cars, a dozen at least over the years
late 70's to mid 90's

There was another Lady (nice Lady) Linda, from Concord area
who was the Pres. of the Diablo Valley MoPars (I Think that was the name)
it wasn't a "Hemi specific club" just a MoPar club
she a had a Nice (?) 69 Super Bee & 68/69 ? Charger R/T, her husbands I think
She & her boyfriend, latter her husband, would put on a really nice car show in the
Concord Park off Concord Ave, annually for like 10 years before I left/moved to Alaska in 84'
& we'd all park on the grass, BBQ, drink beers, BS, check out peoples rides
play volleyball or dance even, & have a DJ/playing oldies on the sound system...

Most of Roland's cars were clones/tributes & not real,
it was the Pro-street era too
*68 Hemi Dart convertible, clone, Maroon colored had a full cage
& narrowed Dana 60, bigs & littles on Centerlines IIRC
he sold it to a guy truckdriver we knew named Kenny, lived up in the valley...

*32 Ford 5 window coupe, full hood/sides, boxed frame rails,
bright yellow exterior/black bench seat interior with a 68 426cid Hemi/727tf
like 3000 stall & a narrowed Dana 60 4.10:1, like Cragers on it IIRC
"Hemi kid" license plate, very cool car, not as fast as you'd think
it'd barely still run low-ish 12s in street trim,
(my DD & my 69 RR with a 446 cid/STR-14-6bbl with a bunch of bolt ons,
11.40-11.80 car without N20 mid-hi 10's with, it would out run it easily N/A
)

he also had a;
*67 GTX 426cid Hemi, it was real, bright red w/red bucket & console interior,
black vinyl roof, it was a beauty resto, all the chrome & stainless was restored too,
w/roadwheels & redlines IIRC

*70 Hemi 'cuda, 4 speed (vertical gate shifter), Dana 60 (Narrowed) w/5.13: gears
like 14x32" tires on Centerlines Pro-Convos, it was a converted racecar,
It had the dura-coated (? name) bumpers, glass fenders, doors & hood,
Kirkey seats, harnesses, a chute, fully caged, window net etc.
bright yellow 70's paint & w/pink, green, blue & purple graphics, lower sides
but it was a real Hemi car too, I'd drive it to shows a lot for him...

He had quite a few others, he had & sold after a short time,
he'd rotate cars like crazy...
Roland was a real wheeler & a dealer (in more than 1 way :poke: )

He was also a local Direct Connection Rep., I got quite a few parts from him
that wasn't 'that rare back then', not out here anyway
they seemed to give anyone whom/who could fog a mirror, the rights to sell/distribute...
