Hi , I am restoring a 1962 Sport Fury and found this part you can see on pic.
Does anybody know what this is and where this part is from ?
I can not remember and didn't found a note.
Thank you for help
i am not well versed in 62's at all, and for that matter it may not be from a 62.....however, it looks like some kind of transmission lockout. only judging by the ob longed hole on the far right. this could possibly be some kind of aftermarket device, it looks too new and shiny to be an original 62 part. i hope we can find out what it actually is,,,i love guessing games!
I believe its a left handed westcott. They were used mostly in the 60s to get the approximate needed parallel resistance for a 6 point buck.(aka) Male deer.....Really I dont think it came from your car.If it did the coating is in excellant shape for the age.
loos like part of a gonkulator.... which is just a prison made rabbit trap.
Seriously I have been doing mopars for a long time. That part does not look like any factory part I am aware of.
Stick it in a drawer some where, as soon as you toss it out you will figure it out.
