They tried. Goering offered blueprints for the plane and both the Jumo 004 and BMW 003 jet engines. They were carried back home on a Japanese sub...which was sunk so they plans didn't make it. They built their Kikka "orange blossom" mostly from copying the ME262 appearance, plus a drawing of the BMW003 engine. It didn't perform well and didn't enter service before the end of the war.I didn't know the Japs had a jet too? Did the Krauts give that to them?
