Champagne Lady in Urbana Ohio. Only the center section in the wing area can claim original parts, the rest is hand built.

I didn't know the Japs had a jet too? Did the Krauts give that to them?
They tried. Goering offered blueprints for the plane and both the Jumo 004 and BMW 003 jet engines. They were carried back home on a Japanese sub...which was sunk so they plans didn't make it. They built their Kikka "orange blossom" mostly from copying the ME262 appearance, plus a drawing of the BMW003 engine. It didn't perform well and didn't enter service before the end of the war.

Me either, looks like a stretched
C-130, but it's a Douglas, not a Lockheed. Pratt & Whitney turbines as opposed to the Lockheed's Allison turbines. Cargo master replaced by Lockheed C-5 Galaxy

Hot Off The Press:
The first delivery from Boeing's Chinese plant, this 737 Max went to Air China this month.

This is just the first from its new 737 jet completion and delivery center in Zhoushan. Note - although China already supplies Boeing with doors, wing panels and tail parts, the airframe wasn't built in China; it came from the Renton Washington assembly line. But the primer bodied, empty air-frame goes to China for interior furnishing (seats, lavatories, galleries) and painting. Of the over 100 countries flying 737s, about 1/3 of the aircraft are ordered by China, so it makes sense to them to take part in some of the production work. Over 2,000 Boeings have already been delivered to China, they are expected to be the biggest customer.
