Compare this......Top Fuel dragsters are the quickest accelerating racing cars in the world and the fastest sanctioned category of drag racers, with the fastest competitors reaching speeds of 335 miles per hour (539 km/h) and finishing the 1,000 foot (305 m) runs in 3.64 seconds.

The United States Air Force Museum's single-seat F15A, nicknamed "Streak Eagle," broke eight time-to-climb world records between Jan. 16 and Feb. 1, 1975. In setting the last of the eight records, it reached an altitude of 98,425 feet just 3 minutes, 27.8 seconds from brake release at takeoff and "coasted" to nearly 103,000 feet before descending.

"Brake release" is a deceptive term, the F-15 brakes won't hold the aircraft stationary at max burner on both engines so the Streak Eagle was tethered to the runway and, as max power was achieved, an explosive bolt released the tether and the time began then.
