Dates are a little off on that Facebook page...the VZ-9 Avrocar experiment was from 1959-1961.


Closely related could be the Chrysler VZ-6 Flying Jeep from the same era.

Collings Foundation. They got that P-40 from England a few years ago. It had spent some time on a hillside in Hawaii after it crashed after Pearl Harbor.
