Does anyone know who owns this 74 SE? (Top Photo) I know this photo has floated around the sites/internet the last 2, 3 or more years - and I wonder if anyone knows who owns it. If you do, any contact info would be appreciated. I want to find out if the color is factory and if it isn't, what exact color it is. I have the same car (Bottom 3 Photos), same color combo and I'm getting ready for paint - and I would love it to be the same color, factory or not.

Thanks!

I believe I am responsible for posting that pic on this site, while defending the styling of the 73/74 cars.

I found it several years ago doing a search on google.

Now the search returns this site, but not the original, which I have no idea about.

It inspired me to purchase my 74 s/r car, but alas it was way too far gone to save, and became a very good parts car.

Looks like you got a ringer for that pic car. Good luck, and hope to see progress pics.

I do believe that is a factory silver color.

A-5 Dark Silver Poly, if it's a factory Dodge 1974 color

1973 Silver Frost Poly & it was also a Plymouth color, same code thou #2513

I found the owner!!! (Love the internet!!) Here is what he told me, "I restored the 74 Charger in 2000 and painted it with a factory Dark Metallic Silver slightly customized with a little bit of special effect flakes. I worked at Sherwin Williams Automotive at the time and we produced the paint for a custom paint job. The car was sold 5 years to a person in the Pittsburgh, PA area."

I have to reply now and ask him if he can reproduce the same recipe. I LOVE that EXACT color on his old car and want it on mine!!!

just have him send you the mixing formula and have your jobber mix it for

that's AWESOME!!! congrats!

Custom mix. That's bad. Just like the house, stay with re-producable and easy to find stuff. That is color, not colour.
