Who wants an old fire truck?

ty for the reply tenfiveo.
its very cool to see one done up and being used.
ive seen a lot of we are gonna do its but not many done up.
gives me a few ideas for a future build,fb marketplace is full of older trucks right now.

what year and engine trans setup does that have?
fuel mileage?

The 1972 Mack CF-600 has a Maxidyne ENDT-675 Engine and a Spicer Synchromesh 5 speed Manual Transmission. I never checked the math but I'd estimate it gets 10 to perhaps 11 miles per gallon. I'm not restoring the truck. I'm the current caretaker preserving it. It was salvaged from a field were it sat next to a creek for 15 to 20 years rotting away. The cabinets (firefighting body) was beyond repair and removed. The pump was taken off and used by a farmer to irrigate his fields. The tilt bed is a repurposed dump truck body. It's not built, meant or intended for commercial use or to make money or a profit. It is versatile and it pays to have it or keep it set up the way it is. It serves its purpose for our own personal use when and where needed.
