Usually a couple weeks after I post an ad to sell something the post is closed to further responses. Why does this happen? Do I have to repost every couple weeks?

Do the ads that are still open after a month belong to members that are Gold?? I'm not sure about it but iirc not too long ago ads would auto close after a certain period of time.I see some ads over a month old with no replies that are still open. But my ads all seem to be closed in about two weeks. So what gives?

How can I reactivate/reopen my ad? Is this how "bump" is supposed to be used. Sorry, but I am not well versed in forum/social media practices, so forgive my ignorance.ads that are inactive for 30 days are automatically closed
Gold members can bump once every 3 days. An ad that is closed because of inactivity can only be opened by a moderator. Asking through a pm with a link is the way to go.How can I reactivate/reopen my ad? Is this how "bump" is supposed to be used. Ok...can I just do some editing of the original, and repost a fresh version? If so, then do I "bump" every 3 days if there is no response to the ad to keep it active? Again, I apologize for the lack of experience and lingo on how this works. Thanks for your help.Gold members can bump once every 3 days. Yes if opened you could edit. You can probably highlight, cut and paste to a new ad. Best to do on a laptop. It's easiest to write up a fresh ad.Ok...can I just do some editing of the original, and repost a fresh version? Sorry to trouble you...quick question: can I do a total revision/post on my Plymouth for sale ad? Want to revise some original ad details and change price, add/remove photos etc. Should I wait "x" days for the original add to be removed, is it deleted by you or do I have to remove it, and if so, how?Yes if opened you could edit. I don't know what happens on your end but you should be able to edit it unless the software has a "time out" feature. We sure could try.Sorry to trouble you...quick question: can I do a total revision/post on my Plymouth for sale ad? If "Edit" is still available to you, it will be at the lower left of the post you want to change. I have more choices because of the Moderator status.Sorry to trouble you...quick question: can I do a total revision/post on my Plymouth for sale ad? Thank you Sir! I will check this out further when I get back home to my laptop. Appreciate your assistance. If "Edit" is still available to you, it will be at the lower left of the post you want to change. I have more choices because of the Moderator status. View attachment 1774983
The "report", "edit", or "delete" buttons aren't visible at the bottom of my ads reference post #1, and #2 to add extra photos. They are visible after your post saying reopened for business. Perhaps I should just wait until the ad is deleted (if moderators can do that) and start over with a revised fresh ad next week or whenever it's permitted. As a gold member, you have a month I believe to edit the original post. Non gold get 1 week. The "report", "edit", or "delete" buttons aren't visible at the bottom of my ads reference post #1, and #2 to add extra photos. I see your first post was Oct. 27. Yep. Too much time. You can mark this one "sold" (below the title) to close it and start another one if you wish. The "report", "edit", or "delete" buttons aren't visible at the bottom of my ads reference post #1, and #2 to add extra photos. Thank you. I will mark it sold as I need to make a few changes in my original ad and can’t edit now. Will revise and put up new fs ad next week.Don't worry about your FS/WTB ads getting locked. If I came across your FS ad, and I wanted the part, or had a part to sell you for your WTB ad, there is nothing stopping me from reaching out via PM and letting you know. In fact, many deals are negotiated and closed via PM without nary a sign in the original thread.
