I'm looking for a wildwood or ssbc disc brake kit to fit factory disc spindles, most of the ones I am finding say they only fit stock drum spindles. Is there a kit for the disc spindles?

Might be easier just to buy drum spindles. They're certainly cheap enough.

I've got some drum spindles out of a 68 coronet if you're looking.

All the Wilwoods I've used were for drum spindles. Haven't used the SSBC yet.
Have about 10 sets of drum spindles.

Gmoney, willwood does make a kit for the disc spidle,,I have a complete ste I ordered from Summit Racing for my 73 roadrunner to replace the factory disc. I will have to report back later with the part number for the one I got.

Just a thought. Drum spindles are a dime a dozen, disc spindles (I think) are much morr valuable. Why not sell the disc spindles to help fund the disc brakes?

I went through this several years ago. SSBC only adapts to drum spindles. Wilwood forged dynalite calipers fit disc spindles. I bought those and an adapter from AREngineering so I could run bigger 11.75" rotors I got from Napa auto. I don't know about a complete wilwood kit...

If I did it over again I would source some early 70s hardware to do the job as detailed in the stopping on a dime link in another thread on here. The type of calipers you use affect pedal feel and performance. I.e. pin type vs slider type

100_3853.jpgI want brakes some day... my drums are like a scary movie:happy1: & I'm in it!

The important questions here is what disc brake spindle do you have? If it is 73-up you should be able to use the 11.75 rotor and an AR Engineering kit.
