Hello again,

I can not figure this one out. I have tried to adjust and readjust this window several times and I keep coming up with this gap.

If I only intended to drive on sunny days this would not be a problem. However. Being that I live in the pacific northwet this would limit the amount of driving to about three weeks out of the year.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated and thanks.

Drüe

Do you have the factory service manual? The FSM for my 64 has the window adjustment procedure. I will try to scan and post mine tomorrow if nobody else is able to give you some advice.

Edit: found this for the moment, might help:

Been there! Spent three + hours per side when assembling my `66 Belle. It's a combination of adjusting window stops and the regulator. On mine the rear window stop is a small bracket at the front that catches on the metal 'carriage' of the window inside the quarter panel as the window comes up. Looks like yours may be a bit too high? If you lower it a tad it will stop the front a little early and as the window rolls up a bit more it 'should' pivot forward on that stop, closing the gap at the top. There are also two screwdriver slots in the regulator...one adjusts how far up the window will roll, the other limits how far down it will roll. These may come into play at some point as well. It's like re-installing and aligning a hood/ door/ fender..."you just gotta play with it".

Once you have it, there will be a great desire to 'hi-five' somebody (anybody), pump your fist, do a little 'jig', act out similar to the scene Tom Hanks did when he made fire in 'Castaway'...then celebrate with a cold beverage, because you will definately feel you earned it!

Good luck.

Very time consuming, but worth it. I had to do mine about 4-5 time to get it right, but probably could use some fine adjustments, but they dont leak...yeah for me!!!

No chance on there being 63' quarter glass. I think what I have been forgetting is the window stop setting. Back to the garage. Thanks.
