What's the best lube for these items? I had heard white lithium grease, but it doesn't stay put and tends to bunch up at the end of the channel. The shop manual says "Lubriplate or equivalent"....but wth is Lubriplate, and what is its equivalent? What has worked for you folks on the forum?

I use a spray garage door lube also but, I like the clear products that evaporate and don't collect dirt. For the inner door mechanisms, I use silicone grease as it is waterproof.

At the Auto glass shop I worked at in the late 70's we used Powdered Graphite in the channels where the glass slid up and down.....
It worked well in the door lock mechanism also....

Thanks guys. The factory stuff seems to last forever and wanted something as durable. Appreciate everyone's input.
