Yeah - if it's like my '64, put them in before the glass. I've gotten some on with the glass in, but I'm not too opimistic I'll get the rest on the back window. Too bad the guy who painted the car before I bought it didn't know this.
There are also four clips on the inside that the inner windshield trim screws to. Put those on first too. I didn't and they were a pain to do after the windshield was in.
