Windshield wiper motor

Hey guys my 69 had a 440 put in before I purchased it and they have a single four barrel carb with the six pack air cleaner on it. The problems my windshield wiper motor don't fit with that air cleaner..any one have some ideas or fixes for me would be much appreciated. Thanks

I beleive you have to change it over to a 3 speed wiper motor to fit,

Yep 3 speed wiper motor, I have a 68 with a sixpack . 1973 e body 3 spd wiper motor. you have to change the switch and the crank arm

Sounds like you have a air grabber breather not a "6 pack" breather. The N96 AG/Ramcharger option included 3 speed wiper as part of the option pg. switch breathers or get a 3 speed wiper which are not hard to find.

is the breather oval like this? if so you need a 3 speed wiper like in the pic.

thanks for the info on the wipers, i have another question for ya, would you happen to know if the rubber seal for the a-12 hood would fit this airbreather, i plan on cloning mine into an a-12 thanks again.

Do you have an A-12 lift off hood AND A12 breather? They used a squarish seal mounted to the squarish breather base. The breather then seals to the underside of the hood.



the non-lift off Air Grabber/Ramcharger hoods had an oval seal that was on the air box that was mounted to the hood. The oval base plates for both 4 and 6 BBL fitted up against that oval seal.

If you have an oval 4 BBL breather like the one in my pick, AND a 69 Airgrabber hood you would use this seal which would fit to the hood/air box.

If you have a standard 69 sat or RR hood w/o AG you don't need a seal. It's just a cool looking air cleaner

If you have a 69 Lift off hood you need the proper squarish breather which uses a different seal: http://www.hardensmcw.com/ShowItem/100172 Air cleaner to hood seal.aspx

I hope that helps. Sounds like maybe you have an oval AG type breather instead of a Lift off breather. if you have a AG breather and no AG hood you don't need a seal.

thanks for the info, i have the airbox from oyur photo and am planning on putting the a12 hood and steel wheels this summer.
