I've been sorting out the bugs in the car since re assembly. My wipers stop wherever i turn the switch off. What should I be checking into. I believe its only a 2 speed system.
Im not very familiar with the two speed motor park contacts but that’s more than likely the issue. On the 3 speed they are under the gearbox cover so that’s probably the location of the contact on the two speed just not sure how to access them.
2 speed wiper motors have a harness of 4 wires; brown, red, blue and green. 1 wire is for low speed; another for high speed; a 3rd is P1 (as in park the wipers I presume) and the 4th is P2 (park 2). The motor itself is grounded to the body/firewall metal. I believe there is an explanation in the original factory service manual for how to rectify the issue of wipers failing to "park" flat on the cowl when turned off. Don't try to do it mechanically.
