Winter sucks!

Get'in alot done on my A-body, got my Door panels put together and the seats recovered for the B-body. Waiting for a warm sunny day to try out the 422 stroker in the Duster!

Is it bad that Im very excited about it possibley getting up to 40 this weekend?

-14 F here this morning

I know!!!! Isn't this crap great Jay. Gotta love it when you walk out the door and all the snot freezes instantly in your nose, teeth feel like you bit straight in to a popsicle, eyes water over and it suddenly is about 3 times as hard to breath. God only knows what the friggen wind chill is. Good thing I plugged the truck in last night. -20F when i got up at 4:30.

Temps have been kinda mild here until last week when we got our first cold snap into the low 20's then they went back up to the high 60's for a couple of days and now we're in the mid 20's and just now hitting 30. That's a good deal below normal for these parts but at least the 20-30 mph breeze finally died down. I can handle the cold if the wind isn't up....

Hitting the road here in a couple weeks, back at it building bridges.Hopeing the weather changes a little to the warmer side and maybe i might actually get a crane that has heat.I happen to be one of the few that can run those early 70s Americans, hot box in the summer and ice box in the winter.lol

Well hopefully you don't get blessed with one those sauna/refrigerator jalopies you're talking about Jay........Spent plenty of summers in the cab of a international harvester haying in the summer...The heat is almost torture! Winter time, you might as well go jump in a frozen lake

will, isn't that the same feeling when you're riding the sleds.LOL

It got up to the low 50s here last weekend and I couldnt take it anymore. the sun was out and the roads were dry and I fired it up and went out friday night and some on saturday. The draw back was I had to listen to the rearend whine the whole time. Yuck! Took it apart 2 days ago and................ the ring and pinion is trashed! The guy who put it in years ago told that it had been loud since day one and he had taken it apart 3 times cause he thought he did something wrong but couldnt find anything. Well he must not know how to set the backlash cause the gears are worn out big time but the backlash is correct know, so how freakin tight did he have it when he put it in!? He didnt catch that in three times of taken it apart? Some people should just keep thier hands off of things they know nothing about. (would of saved me a few hundred bucks!)

I love the clear winter days when with sunshine and freezing cold temps. My car performs so great. It feels like im at sea level and not at 4200 ft. Come summer time the DA makes my car feel like it is 10,000 feet here.

Got snow last weekend and more is coming this weekend. Not that it is going to be all that bad but makes it hard to sell hay bales in this kind of wether.

No Doubt!

LOL...No doubt Roger! Actually not too bad on a sled with all the gear on. Heat from the engine, a thumbwarmer and handwarmers make it bearable.

I'm astonished to say it, but i'm ready to park the sleds for the season.

Bring on spring!!!!!!
