Everything they show in that picture is related to the shifter linkage. The kickdown should be like I mentioned.this is the exploded view, the gold rod is the one with the arrow pointing to it

What I'm saying is that it looks like you have two:
The factory part, dangling, and an aftermarket part, installed on the tower.
The question, is:
Which one, if any is hooked up at the carb end?
Step one make the shifter work to select the gears. per instructions for the shifter.i think part of the problem, the old shifter was a front feed cable, this one is a rear feed cable
Step 3 Look at where bouchillon wants you to connect the cable bracket. It wont work.Step one make the shifter work to select the gears. per instructions for the shifter.
Step two hook up the kick down cable. per the Bouchillon instructions.
yea, i see that, i have decided to return the shifter, Moparmarks has a column shift linkage, just gonna go back to thatStep 3 Look at where bouchillon wants you to connect the cable bracket. It wont work.

Non-slapstick, but can be made into one with 1 or 2 parts.
Price seems right.
i have a column shift linkage coming from MoparMarks, so the kickdown should work with it.Doesn't solve your kickdown issue, though.
