I need some wiring help. This is on a 70 Charger.
I finally have all my pieces together and the wiper assembly installed but the switch is not responding correctly. The 3 speed switch is only turning the motor on and off, with no speed difference between the 3 different switch spots. And when the switch is turned off, the motor does not park. The motor just stops where it is at.
I did bench test the motor when I got it and it ran and parked. I did not test the different speeds at the time.
The harness wires were cut at the firewall when I bought the car so I just ran the 4 wires from the motor directly to the switch. The colors coming out of the motor and on the switch harness are the same so just hooked them up to eachother.
My problem and question is that there are wires/hookups spots on the switch that are not listed on any diagrams I have and not sure if they are hooked up correctly. Below is a picture of my switch and 2 diagrams I am referencing.
(note, the colors I labeled on this pic are based on the harness plug that connects to it. The one wire you see in the pic that connects two switch plugs to eachother was already on there but is not listed on any diagrams)
