Wiper switch

How many switch positions are there on a three speed wiper switch? Or, does a two speed switch have four positions? I sold and shipped a four position switch to a guy and now he’s claiming it’s only a two speed. This is from a 68.

LOL.. OFF, slow, med, high = 4 when I went to school.

Also pretty easy to tell when a 3 speed has a resistor on the back and the extra spade.

That’s what I’m saying. He’s saying by the part number it’s a two speed. Does anyone have two speed and three speed part numbers?

Like Dad said, if it has the ceramic resistor block on the side it is a 3 speed. No resistor, 2 speed. (Right is a 3 speed, left 2 speed)

If the switch has not been taken apart, cleaned, fixed and correctly lubed, the 3 speed wiper switch may just now be inoperative and only have two switch positions instead of the 4 (OFF, slow, med, High).
