Wiper system 72 Satellite

I planing dRiving a 72 satellite a fair bit this summer and inevitably I'll get caught I the rain.
Any advice on optimizing the performance of the stock wiper system?
Are there complete modern retrofit upgrades available?
Has anyone successfully installed a modern late-model wiper assembly (transmission, motor, stalk, etc.) ?

I read somewhere, of someone using a modern motor mounted inside the cowl. That's all I got.

Thanks missile. I'm thinking of measuRing distance between spindles and seeing if anything modern matches, which would be a stroke of luck. Just posting here to see if any pioneers have gone before me
