wiring dvc sub??

Hello,
I have the wires bridged out of my 2chennel amp, and parallel at the sub, but its forcing my amp to attempt 1ohm which it doesn't do and is trying to catch on fire lol, since its a dvc sub can i wire each voice coil to a channel on the amp with out overloading it?? the amp and sub are same RMS and peak wattage.

yes if the amp doesn't like the bridging separate channels will cut the load in half ... i will assume the amp is raded to run at 2 ohms per channel since you said you are running 1 ohm in bridged mode ...............
