I'm having my QTP cutouts installed tomorrow and was wondering the best way to run the wires for the dash switch? They will be mounted just before the mufflers and I can think of 2 options. Running the wire up through a floor plug or running it under the car and to the firewall. I'd prefer to run it through the firewall, but I'm not sure where to run it underneath the car.
Any input on either idea?

I would think if you can secure it to subframe connectors (if you have them) or something away from the exhaust/headers. I'm thinking of getting a set for my ride once I get to exhaust and I too would like to keep from drilling anymore holes if I can avoid it. If you do drill into the floor to run it try to find a spot that it won't get stepped on and use some rubber grommets.

I would run in the car if possible, not under the car. Penetrate near the rockers and run in the looms on the side of the car to the kick panels, then to the dash. All your body wiring is run in the car not under it.

Love my QTP's. Routed through existing firewall path. Be sure to mount the push and hold toggle switch within easy reach, not under the dash to reach or hunt for. It's almost a 4 second run to full open.

Don't forget about Mother Nature, high temp wire, sleeve protection, weather proof connectors and strain relief.

Thanks for the advice everyone, I think I'll run it up through the car instead of underneath.

Post your finish with audio - or it didn't happen.

I plan to!!! Boy are they loud even at about 40% open! I had the shop weld them in and I'm going to tackle the wiring tomorrow(?). I opened them up about 40% (connected them to a battery under the car) and took it for a spin. I got the usual thumbs ups, but I had 2 people stop me to ask me what I had under the hood :D
BTW Dennis, reading your posts encouraged me to get the QTP cutouts. Thanks!!!
