I have a well seasoned front bench seat that was standard in the low line 1970 Chargers. If I recall correctly, the seat frame also fits the Belvedere, Coronet and Road Runner models.

As you can see, it has headrests. The tracks move fore and aft just fine. Obviously the left upper section needs work.
Years ago we threw this stuff in dumpsters, now some people are looking for them to complete their restorations. What is a fair price for this thing?

I'm not the greedy type. At the same time, it sucks to price something well below it's value.

Around here...a 70 bench seat core with tracks sells for $600-$1,000 as long as it's not rusted up

I also agree $500-1000 is what I’ve gotten for seats in about the same condition especially with the head rests and tracks. The problem now days is the cost of shipping them. I’ve taken them apart for shipping. Still not cheap though.

Well-seasoned you say......

My description would be more inline with "completely fu**ed"

It's rebuildable.....if it was specific to a buyer's car, and they needed it.....easily a couple hundred bucks. I've seen people asking gold for seat with a few tears and rips....it depends on what car they are for of course.

If I was wanting that Greg, I would give you $200

Come and get it, man!

I sold a couple front bench seats a few years ago for $400. each. I thought that was fair for both parties because both buyers had one way drives of around 8 hours.

$400 would be a great deal, you could be like some of these sellers on our site and ask $2000. Getting sick of these guys.

I take efforts to NOT be like those guys. I try to price my stuff below market rate.
The only time that I am intentionally offensive is when I am joking or dealing with real idiots.

Headrests are 71up, not 70. Is the backrest tilted by a push button or a lever? Hard to tell from the pics.

After about 3 years of looking and placing want adds, I bought a nice '69 bench seat core local to me here in Oklahoma for $500 and was glad to get it. They are hard to find if you need one.

Seats are a tough call. As long as the tracks and springs are not rusty, they sell. I’ve tossed a 70 seat before long ago. I’m not an expert on headrests for sure. Like mentioned shipping is the killer and driving takes time and money. Just advertise it for $500 and be willing to work a deal. Tracks are probably worth $250 and shipping is better.

That is incorrect, headrests were government mandated in mid 1969. Greg's 70 Charger bench is correct for a 70 Charger base model.

Thanks, Pete.
I still have this and may sell it some day but THIS is NOT a sales ad. I have never intentionally bought one of these nor sold any so I had no idea of the value of them. I always chose bucket seats over a bench and when I did a swap, the old bench was often thrown away. With how some people scramble to find what used to be throwaway parts, I thought I'd get familiar with the going rate of their value.

I know that headrest were mandatory, but already from 01/01/1969, not mid 1969, btw. I meant that the shown headrests are from 1971 up and NOT from 1970. Therefore my question for the push button or the lever, as this also differs between 70 and 71+.
This are 70 headrests:
