I would look at that car real close. I mean eye f@€K that thing. The decklid is about as crooked as they come. Make sure all the airgrabber pieces are there. Steering wheel has 3 big cracks. New york cars are scary.

you could sell the cuda outright and buy any GTX you want........... i'd never trust a dealer........ fresh undercoat, wrong engine color, no B5 in 68....... decklid dont fit right....... this car was not worked on by a mopar guy

So I inspected the pictures further. Electronic ignition was wrong on 68 it was points system. The steering wheel is from some other car the blue does not match the rest of the interior, The trim piece on the dash is missing above the driver side AC vent, AC missing, Trim around radio and on passenger side should have a wood grain insert, arm rests should all be white, door panels should be a lighter brown for 68. This looks like a money pit if you want to bring it back to original, should have Magnum 500 wheels if it is a true GTX. I would gather as much information as possible and triple check fender tag and vin number it looks like a Satellite and GTX trim added..

Just by looking at some of the photos, deductive reasoning tells me this was slapped together by an unloving money grabber. Tags probably are for a Satellite. Do your homework, and double check that undercoating. It's obviously there to cover up issues. Who in there right mind with such a car not line up the trunk correctly, and leave that steering wheel like that? Nuff said. I actually like that Cuda! Lowball him if it's correct and make him pay for obvious shoddy workmanship!

I agree...I will def do better selling the Cuda outright and finding a GTX or Coronet R/T. Thanks for all the help/advice You guys rock!!

Here is the correct color QQ1 and the engine should be a turquoise color.. I would wonder hat else is not right is there a fender tag?

Remember, you KNOW your cuda. What it needs, what is perfect, etc. The reason the dealer is so willing to trade is because he has had the GTX on the lift. He knows where the "lipstick" is. Next week your cuda is listed for 33k and he knows nobody will give him 27k for his Get-X. My opinion? this GTX is flip city. All 68 big blocks were turquoise. Chrysler blue was after the orange run.

patrick66, I thought the 68s engines were corporate blue

Not in 1968. Corporate Blue made its debut in 1969 on SOME 318 and 340 engines - in '69, a small block could be red, blue, OR orange! Corporate Blue was universal starting in the 1972 MY, to include Sixes. The 1968 383 and 440 should be Turquoise.

big time .....a 73 (not a great year) SMALL BLOCK car .......does it matter if its number matching ...its still a small block!!! for a GTX ....a real GTX (RS23L9) car.

How many 340 4-speed E-bodies were built in 1973??? Very damn few, that's how many!

I wouldn't ever sell that Cuda. That's a pretty car I know I would regret it. I would wait until I had the money to either take on a GTX project or buy one with cash.
