We had a female cop get killed while serving a search warrant some years back. She was a beloved mom and wife. The perp was arrested after a standoff (he used an assualt rifle to shoot throught the walls and door to kill her as she knocked on the door) but gave in after being surrounded. He was found hung that night in the jail in an apparent suicide. Never got the chance to waste money in court and no one questioned it very much at all.

That's why I keep the keys for my classics hidden in the house. Would have to get past the dogs, then the 45ACP and a 12 ga. Most thieves couldn't hot wire a car if their life depended on it..........Steal a vehicle then get caught joy riding in it.......don't need to be smart to be a thief....
Another good reason to bring back the death penalty.........but then a 280 grain 45ACP would be a lot cheaper......(just my opinion)

18 years old and he's $30000 in debt. His scumbag drug dealing pusher should have collected what was owed to him a lot sooner. The kid probably followed the old couple home when they had the car out for a drive and thought he could make an easy score stealing from the couple. Instead of having a chinese water torture, they should play the sound of a RR beep-beep horn 24/7 in that kids cell. It would be a constant reminder of what he did.

That's about 3 hours from me, and unfortunately NM no longer has the death penalty! What a jackass! Now that lady can never enjoy her Roadrunner again! I wonder if I've seen that car and what's gunna happen with it? This am awful story!

The problem isn't drugs. The problem is some in this country, mostly social liberals/progressives, have been trying to make civilization more "civil" by restricting our ability to weed out the bad elements in society. It is extremely rare for someone to go from being a law abiding citizen to murdering a woman for her car, so I'm guessing this kid has a long and well-documented history of escalating violence and criminal activity. In the really old days, this kid would have been hung or shot by his victims. In the old days, the local sheriff would have taken him for a "walk in the woods" and then filed a missing person report on him. Nowadays, our more "civil" society just keeps letting the guy go back on the streets and escalate his activity until it reaches this point.
