does anyone repop or recondition? my original one is smooth (no grain visible) and the shift pattern is barely visible.

Have you tried Mega Parts for a repop? They are the best by far on parts available and cheap shipping costs

i am currently running a white hurst shift ball on mine...just looking to stock one, but I guess the original in worn shape is more authentic anyway.
I agree, the hurst shift ball is bigger too.
