Hi all I have found a 1969 dodge dart GTS 340 4spd air car with all numbers matching no rust and was sold at grand Spaulding Dodge with all the original paper work when sold new the thing is I have a nice 69 X9X9 GTX but not with the factory motor are trans I would have to sell to fund this car I just don't whant to go backwards what would you good b body guys do. thanks KB9GIB

No, try to keep it, in my opinion.
Its a sweet and highly desirable collector car!

But, if you love the GTX more, do it.
It is up to you.
"WE", the forum do not have all the answers, perhaps many of us have been there and done that.
1. How many times on this Forum have you see someone say: "wish I never sold that car"

So, I would say try to keep it first off.
You'll NEVER find another one like that one.

I think he has a 69 GTX & is thinking about buying the A Body 69 Dart.

I would think about the Blood ,Sweat & Tears in your GTX (& $$ of course) & check around on the values , sleep on it & go with your own gut, not some one else's !

Decisions, Decisions! WOW! I live in Grand Spaulding Land, and that is a very desireable car! I dunnow? You have to do some soul searching. Keep it and just put it away if possible, and
maybe do it at a later date. I wish I had these problems! Glad it's you that has to make the decision. Good luck!

I would guess that about 5% of the Mopar population has ever heard of Grand Spaulding Dodge and about 0.0002% of the collector car world has. If you're a Grand Spaulding aficionado, then this car has some panache to it. If not, it's just a Dart GTS with a 340 and if you're not into A bodies then it's just a Dart. It's one of those cars that frequently leads to disappointment because to you it's the cat's *** but to everyone else it's an old Dart.

So the question is what's important to you? If you're a B body/GTX guy, keep the car. If you're a Grand Spaulding fan, get the Dart.

Bruzilla, I think you have the numbers wrong? I'm a Mopar guy for a long long time and when I see a Nickey car or a Yenco car I know it's something special. Grand Spaulding was known world-wide and stillis a revered name. I'm just saying that if you can prove the car came from Norm Krause's place, then it's "Special".

It Is a Difficult call, half the GTX fans will complain the correct Vin# is gone on the 69', and the other half doesn't care, and correctly so. The GTX is worth a bunch either way. The dart is a great find as well, as the correct numbers guys will go with that all day. I would try to fund both, as they are both great assets. I understand money is an issue, but rates are cheap right now, and both cars are money in the Bank. Look at it as a long term Investment. If you can't swing it, look at the total invested in the end, and compare each to their respective long term value. There will always be Buyers for both cars.

Would you feel the same if it were a Fury 4 door or a wagon? They sold them all just like every other dealer.
