Wow it's COLD out there! What about your spot?

Does anybody know what wheel bearing grease does at 0F? I was in Allentown in early 80’s when the extreme cold hit the whole U.S. Working on semi’s, had to crank down dolly legs to swap out tractors.
Maybe 18” to raise the trailer, swapped out 4 guys for maybe 5min each to get it done.
Summertime was maybe a 2-3min job.
Our tractors were the only ones running because we ordered 90/10(kerosene-diesel) just 2 days before.

Here in Arizona, I had to put on a jacket and hat to play with the four-legged kids, this morning. A long sleeve shirt wasn't getting it done. It had to have dropped all the way down into the forties!

It's in the 20s in the early morning when I get up, and then it hits between the high 40s or low 50s here in NW Nevada!!! This is unusual as we are sun and severe clear with no measurable precipitation forecasted in the near future! From February to April and maybe May, we can get a lot of snow, so that may be the play. But for now, it's just this high bubble hanging over us. cr8crshr/Bill :usflag: :usflag: :usflag:

Seriously, obviously it's not cold here. But it has been very windy here, like LA. Enough that I don't do much outside. The dogs however LOVE the "cold" weather.(long coat gsd's). I have to bribe them to come in from the wind. (The gf worries).

Sahara had about -30F the other day. In my working career at one place for 39 years we wouldn’t have averaged one day per year for cold shutdown. -35F you were expected to be on the job.

We're fortunate to be on our "winter escape", from the Armpit of the East, WNY. Our Son said temp was Below zero, and dropping, with lake effect snow expected, 10-20". It's cool down here on the "new" Gulf of America, only expected to hit around 60F*, with showers, but the weekend looks better. I think it's funny, some folks down here are wearing winter coats, hats, and gloves
Could be staying in fashion!

-20C, 30 with the windchill. Plowed 10 more inches of snow this morning ! I'm out of places to push it, laneway is down to 1.5 blade widths.

Dolly legs should be lubed with white lithium grease, #2 gets way too thick in sub-zero temperatures.

Too late when the cold arrives, and we had over 60 trailers at our location.

Here in the land of Snopars it's plus 10... But wind-chill deep in the negatives

We had 30°F today here in central europe. Little snow on the Road. Drove my car home today from the workshop after steering alignment. I was shocked how loud the gravel is when it flies around the wheel housing. So much louder compared to a modern car. Wow
