Wow it's COLD out there! What about your spot?

4 to 5 inches of settled snow and sleet mixture. I shoveled a few feet next to a car. Phooey on that nonsense. I'll let the sunshine do its job. Nice and quiet outdoors. 26 deg F at 07:00.

Unusual weather for Savannah, Georgia. Previous occurrence was January 2018.

Was 14 here this morning, but you got more snow than we did.

This is why you can’t have anything nice where they salt… Too cold to try and wash it as I will be frozen out of it, break the door handle or tear the gaskets trying to get in it later… Friday mid 20’s so I can wash it then…

As l had the day off today, seeing it was too cold to get outside, totally vacuumed the entire unfinished basement and organized everything. Took about 4hrs.

Also, made a pile for a future dump run.

Warmed up to 18 or so by noon, so went out for a hike at a local park/pond.

When my wife got home we took a short walk around the neighborhood.

When we got back from our walk l shoveled the curb strip so that when everything melts l don't get a sheet of ice at the end of the driveway.

We do have some black ice in the driveway due to the down spouts.

Work called and asked if I could come in at 8am tomorrow, was supposed to be in at 10. Should be warmer tomorrow am but not by much

Pour some methyl hydrate along the top of the door seals, down the back and front. Spray some lock deicer or methyl hydrate around and into the door handle areas. Could try a heat gun or hair dryer on the door handle carefully. Worked for me more than once. Quite common to carry a small squirt bottle of lock deicer here.

We can't compete with the temps you guys are posting but it was 31 degrees and foggy this morning.. The dampness just goes right through me anymore...

I ignored my two dogs till the worst of the fog burned off then harnessed them up to my bike & they dragged my butt around for a couple miles...

After that I walked them another couple miles... I'd prefer to walk them first but if you do that they will literally drag me... Gotta burn some energy before trying to walk them....

Huskies live to pull....
I got a couple husky pups 7 months old, you have the right idea let them get that energy out first mile or so.

I appreciate that info but I am going out to shoot pool tonight and it's 45-50 minutes away with -2 forecast I don't feel like having any issues trying to get into at night in a strange to me neighborhood that late at night...

Currently 63* here right now. High was 70*. Couple of beach shots from earlier today when we took the kids to the beach after their Vet visit.

We've owned Huskies for a long time, our current pair are the forth time we've had a pair & we owned a Husky & a Belgian Malinois prior to that... I've harnessed them to my bike for the last twenty years... Coral insists I'm to old to be taking that sort of risk but this pair (both females) really isn't much of a risk... They focus on running & rarely get distracted... Our last pair the male was constantly looking for something to chase, if you saw it first & gave him a verbal command to "Leave It!" he was fine... If he saw it first & you weren't prepared you were going for a ride....

-13 F yesterday morning at this time. We’ve warmed up this morning to 4!
